The Seawell Grand Ballroom is gorgeous just as it is, but Rachel and Daniel were convinced a winter wonderland transformation was a must for their October wedding - and the result was nothing less than magical.
Guests strolled through a hallway draped in luxe white fabric and glowing with candlelight, arriving at a ceremony space teeming with flowers and candles. But it was the bride walking down the aisle under a sky of delicate snowflakes that made the big moment even more memorial. Rachel's childhood of being married under snowy skies came true, thanks to Design Works who worked tirelessly to create an actual snowfall indoors. Wedding attendees were not only surprised, but moved by the scene.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to an indoor tent for cocktail hour. Staying with the chilly but cozy theme, a gourmet soup bar featuring Butternut Squash and a Tomato and Tortilla Soup (the bride's favorite!) served in demitasse cups was a hit, along with the Pear Carpaccio, Grilled Corn Cakes, Petite Lamb Chops and Chicken Tacos passed on silver trays.
Soon the crowd was ushered into the ballroom that had been transformed into a frosty fairytale. Three unique table settings were scattered around a sleek white dance floor that was lit by one huge gorgeous crystal chandelier.
Guests enjoyed a kale salad with a snowflake crouton garnish before tucking into a Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon or Grilled Tenderloin served with Roasted Cauliflower Steak and Tri colored Potatoes dreamt up by Epicurean's Chef Jenna Johansen. A dessert buffet was rolled out featuring an array of all white desserts including petite snowballs, lemon mint granitas, and serendipity white chocolate shooters; but it was the late night snacks of Kobe beef sliders and sweet potato fries that kept the revelers happy and warm in this white winter wonderland.
